Who we are

Clearwater Creations builds natural swimming ponds, ecosystem ponds and waterfalls in Ontario. In this policy, we, us and our mean Clearwater Creations. You can reach us on (705) 717-2226, Monday to Friday, 8 to 6.

What we collect

When you book a design call or ask about maintenance, you give us your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, photos of the space if you send them, and whatever you tell us about the project. We keep that so we can call you back and quote the work.

Like almost every website, ours also records ordinary usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you looked at, how long you stayed, and the site or advertisement that sent you here.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read, Google Ads and Meta advertising to reach people looking for a pond, and Google Tag Manager to load those tools. Between them they set cookies on your device. Some are essential to make the booking form work. The rest measure whether our advertising is worth the money.

If you arrive from an advertisement, the identifier Google or Meta attaches to that click is stored in a cookie so that if you later book a call, we can tell which advertisement paid for itself. It is a click identifier, not your name.

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, and turn off personalised advertising through Google Ads settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada or Your Online Choices. The booking form still works with cookies off.

What we do with it

We use your information to answer you, to design and price the work, to schedule and carry out the build, to invoice you, and to send you the occasional note about your pond, such as a seasonal opening reminder. If you booked a maintenance plan we contact you about renewals. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the services that run our business for us: our customer system, our email and text provider, our payment processor and the advertising platforms named above. They only get what they need.

How long we keep it

Quotes, contracts and invoices are kept as long as Canadian tax and business records law requires. Enquiries that never became jobs are kept while they are still useful and then removed.

Your choices

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it, except for records we are legally required to keep. Call (705) 717-2226 and ask for Dan.

Security

Our website and customer system run over an encrypted connection and access is limited to the people who need it. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
